I’m breaking in my hiking boots on the stairmaster tonight. Imma look so cool. I think this will be my trademark look now.

One of my co-workers told me I look mean. I said that I always look mean and that’s why people are afraid of me.

Hey Mary! I have a question about simultaneous fat loss and muscle gain. I've read a bunch of articles that say it's impossible to burn fat while building muscle--you gotta do one before the other. I know every body is different, but in your experience was this true for you? I plan on eating high protein, low fat, and carb cycling while lifting (squats & deadlifts) 4 times a week and HIIT once a week. Thanks so much for your help!

It was true for me. If I could go back, I would just jump into focusing on eating healthy/well to gain muscle rather than concerning myself with the losing fat aspect. You’ll probably see a little fat loss, but you’ll be better off by gaining muscle now. That’s just my opinion. There are definitely opinions on doing bi-weekly cycles like every two weeks focus on building muscle then the next two weeks focus on cutting fat…but in my opinion, that’s a bunch of buuuuullshit, mama.
